THE MUST EATS OF SEREMBAN

In our interesting excursion around Seremban, we decided to ignore restraint on the matter of meals. Having heard rumors and heresay beforehand of some of the less than legendary meals of Seremban, we decided to, indulge, or as other people might put it, let ourselves go. To do this of course, we travel out of the way to locations that were forgotten and mere rumor to the ears and minds of the people of Kuala Lumpur.

BEEF NOODLES

In the morning we went to a certain old marketplace to try the famous beef noodles. The shop had survived more than a generation. It was so good that students skip school and instead of going out to play games, they skip school to eat the noodles.

This famous beef noodles attracted a lot of tourists outside from the state to Seremban with its thick slick gravy and sprinkled, peppery sticky sauce with peanuts, salted vegetables, spring onions and sesame seeds.

Haji Shariff’s Cendol

Our second site of interest was the an indian cendol shop by the name of Haji Sharrif's Cendol. On the outside it was a unique, green corner shop lot that is filled with tourists and townsfolk alike bustling in and out, filling seat after seat, table after table, ordering the famous cendol that people only whisper about. During our trip there, we were extremely lucky and were able to find a table that could accompany our number of people.

The cendol itself is another amazement. Though some of us has had it before in our lives and some of us have not, we all come upon the same conclusion, amazing. It felt like a heaven of sweet, cold milk as we indulge in this local delicacy. Made to perfection, the sweetness of the sugar was not overdone, in fact, it was in a perfect range of sweetness. No great excess of sugar was found within the cendol as we quenched our desire of sweets by emptying the small metal bowl that layed in front of us.
Who knew such a small metal bowl could provide such indulgences to the sense of taste.

However, not long after finishing the bowls of cendol, we once again had to move on due to the soaring number of customers willing to wait in line for the opportunity to taste this delicacy.

Siew Bao

After that we tried the legendary 'Siew Bao'. A very famous chinese food that is especially famed in Seremban. After we took a bite, we then knew why it was famous, its impressive taste left us hungry for more.

The baked buns were crispy on the outside and within the flaky pastry were generously filled with BBQ pork filling. Juicy, sweet and tender.

Home-cooked Meal
For dinner, we ate a lil bit at Zhao Hong' s house before heading to try the famous baked crabs. It was a delicious simple home-cooked meal prepared by his family.

 Light dinner ( home-cooked meal)

Famous Baked Crabs

The restaurant is located in Seremban 2. Although not as famous as other shops, it is quite well known throughout Seremban for their baked crabs.

The star of the night. The crabs were full of flavour and was extremely delicious.

Mee Chai Mak (Hokkien)

On the next day we ate lunch at home. a mainly vegetarian lunch with noodles. We ate fast to get enough time to explore more of Seremban.

For lunch we decided to go to this magnificent club house. To explore the clubhouse in Seremban and also to try the food there. We ordered an assortment of starter dishes and shared it among us, so that all of us would be able to try all the food there

ABC [ Air Batu Campur ]

Air Batu Campur meaning shaved ice with brown sugar syrup and rose flavoring, corn and beans. Sometimes with mixture of cendol. It is a local dessert adores by many.

And that sums up all of the food/ snacks we had during the trip.
